"Josie had a really good first wild duck hunt opening weekend in Alamosa at the Higel State lease. She retrieved eight ducks, mostly mallards. One retrieve was especially good. We were set up next to big willows and there were a lot of reeds in front of us. I hit a greenhead coming left to right and it was dead on impact, in the heaviest reeds. I thought that I would probably have to go find that duck. Josie launched into the water and was back in less than a minute with the duck. Sure surprised me. That was a bonus. "Just thought you would like to see how your training worked out for Cooper. We were 90 miles outside of Colby Kansas on public land, January 18^th – 20^th. Tough hunting this time of year, the temperature was in the teens. I managed to knock down a couple birds within about 30 seconds and Cooper retrieved both birds in 4’ high, thick CRP. All in Cooper flushed ten birds and retrieved seven that we managed to knock down. I was thrilled with how Cooper performed, thanks again for all you did." - Curtis Bozich
